About this class: 4x Classes

You've had your first taste of clay and you want more? Our weekly classes are for people who've caught the bug and are ready to keep going. If you have no experience with clay, then we will of course teach you the fundamental techniques.

In a group of mixed levels, you'll work at your own pace while your teacher guides your technique and introduces new skills along the way. During this 4-session class, you’ll get introduced to a variety of handbuilding techniques, and get the chance to learn more about the whole process involved in turning clay into ceramics: the making, the slow drying, decorating and glazing.

We believe there's something special about making alongside others: you learn faster and get inspired watching what people create, picking up ideas, and growing together.

Classes run on Tuesday evenings (18:30–21:00). You pay per 4 sessions, and have 6 weeks to complete the 4 sessions. so your clay won't get in the way of your holiday. This is a continuous programme, so you can join at any time without missing out on anything. We will let you know once your classes are almost used up, so you can renew!

It's the best way to get to know the studio, the people in it, and a natural stepping stone towards our studio membership.

We're looking to add more moments as we grow. Keep an eye out for Wednesday afternoons (13:00–15:30) and Friday mornings (10:00–12:30). You can then you class time if that works better for your schedule.

βœ“ Clay, tools, apron & studio glazes included

Frequently Asked Questions

  • Not at all. Our wheel throwing intro and handbuilding workshops are designed for complete beginners. If you have some experience, and want to go deeper, our specialist workshops are for you. All sessions are taught by working ceramicists who love helping people find their footing with clay.

  • A pre-booking lets you reserve your spot before we've announced specific dates.

Once you complete your purchase, we'll be in touch within two to three weeks with available dates based on the availability you shared at checkout.

You confirm the date that works for you, and that's when your booking is set. You can cancel for a full refund at any point before we send you your date options.

  • Clothes you don't mind getting clay on… pottery can be a bit messy! We provide aprons, but be mindful they may not cover your clothes fully. Avoid anything white or precious. Closed-toe shoes are recommended.

  • Clay needs to dry, be bisque-fired, glazed, and then fired again. This takes roughly 2 to 3 weeks. We'll contact you when your piece is ready for collection. We also offer shipping at an additional cost.

  • Absolutely. Our private workshops are perfect for groups of 5–12, team outings, birthday parties, hen parties, and more. Get in touch via the private event page and we'll tailor a session for your group.

  • All workshop prices include clay, studio glazes, and firing of your piece. No hidden costs. The only exception is specialist workshops with guest teachers, where materials may vary. We'll always make this clear in the session description.

    • Cancellation more than 7 days before the workshop: full refund

Transfers to a future workshop may be possible depending on availability.

Wheel workshops require a minimum of 2 participants to run, handbuilding requires a minimum of 4 participants. If we can't reach the minimum, we'll notify you with as much notice as possible and offer a full refund or the option to transfer to another date.

  • Yes. We run workshops and events in both English and Dutch, depending on who is teaching. If you have a language preference for a specific session, just let us know when booking and we'll always try to accommodate.

  • Our handbuilding workshops are one-off taster, whereas the 4-session classes are where you truly get to learn how to turn clay into ceramics. The perfect path to work independently.

Our workshops are 2.5 hours: that’s typically enough to make 1-2 small items, and painting them with special glazes when the piece is still relatively wet and unfired.

During the class, you join for 4 weekly sessions where you create as you go and can explore more complex pieces and techniques. You can work on a piece for more than 1 sessions, learning what it takes to work slowly with clay…then you get to work on your fired pieces, exploring more interesting decoration and glazing techniques.
